1.9375.14 OFFICES AND SUPPLIES FURNISHED FOR COUNTY OFFICERS.
1.10The county board shall provide offices at the county seat for the auditor, treasurer,
1.11county recorder, sheriff, court administrator of the district court, and an office for the
1.12county engineer at a site determined by the county board, with suitable furniture and
1.13safes and vaults for the security and preservation of the books and papers of the offices,
1.14and provide heating, lighting, and maintenance of the offices. The board shall furnish
1.15all county officers with all books, stationery, letterheads, envelopes, postage, telephone
1.16service, office equipment, electronic technology, and supplies necessary to the discharge
1.17of their respective duties and make like provision for the judges of the district court
1.18as necessary to the discharge of their duties within the county or concerning matters
1.19arising in it. The board is not required to furnish any county officer with professional or
1.20technical books or instruments except when the board deems them directly necessary to
1.21the discharge of official duties as part of the permanent equipment of the office."
