HF5181 (Newton) Department of Military Affairs and Department of Veterans Affairs appropriations modified, maximum bonded indebtedness allowed increased for State Armory Building Commission, and Gopher Gunners Memorial Bridge designated.
HF4124 (Lillie) Outdoor heritage, clean water, parks and trails, and arts and cultural heritage funds money appropriated; and prior appropriations modified and extended.
HF4194 (Howard) Housing; prior appropriations modified, new programs established and existing programs modified, housing infrastructure bond eligible uses expanded, housing infrastructure bond issuance authorized, working group and task force established, reports required, and money appropriated.
*HF601 (Her) Lost and stolen firearms required to be reported promptly to law enforcement.
*HF4300 (Becker-Finn) Firearm safe storage standards established and criminal penalties provided for failing to meet those standards.

Ways and Means will not take official action on HF5181, HF4124 or HF4194. They will be heard and laid over, with official action occurring on Thursday, April 25.

Note: HF3431 and HF5181 will be merged into one State and Local Govt and Veterans Supplemental budget bill package, using HF3431 as the primary vehicle.
Note: Article 6 of HF2476 will be deleted and inserted into HF5237 via amendment.

*HF4975 is a vehicle bill to move the Climate & Energy, Agriculture and Commerce Supplemental Budget Bill. A DE amendment will replace the underlying bill language.

  • HF3431 (Klevorn) - Department of Administration governance technical changes made.
  • HF5040 (Her) - Eligible employees of Minnesota State Colleges and Universities who are members of higher education individual retirement account plan authorized to elect coverage by Teachers Retirement Association and purchase past service credit, funding provided to offset service credit purchases, and money appropriated.
  • HF5295 (Stephenson) - Insurance fees assessed by Department of Commerce modified.
  • HF3763 (Vang) - Base funding for agricultural growth, research, and innovation program increased.
  • HF4177 (Acomb) - Technical and housekeeping changes made to various provisions governing or administered by Department of Commerce.
  • HF4975 (Acomb) - Renewable development account report repealed.
  • HF5247 (Gomez) - Property taxes, individual income and corporate franchise taxes, gross receipts taxes, and local governments aids modified; definition of certain attachments and appurtenances clarified; advanced payments of child tax credit proposed; Tribal Nation aid payment dates modified; and money appropriated.
