REDISTRICTING COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Mary Murphy, Chair of the Committee on Redistricting, called the virtual meeting to order at 7:00 PM on December 2, 2021 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Vice Chair Klevorn moved to approve the minutes from December 1st, 2021. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

* This meeting will be dedicated to public testimony on the proposed legislative and congressional district plans. Proposed maps can be found at https://gis.lcc.mn.gov/redist2020/plans.html and clicking on ‘C2101-0’ in the plan category for proposed congressional maps and "L2101-0" in the plan category for proposed legislative maps. No formal action will be taken. Amendments will be considered and a final vote on these proposals will occur on Thursday, December 9.

PUBLIC TESTIMONY: If you would like to testify, please email Nancy.conley@house.mn no later 4:00 PM, Wednesday, December 1 and indicate on which plan you want to comment. Depending on the number of people who sign up, testimony may be limited to 3-5 minutes/per person. Please use the same email and deadlines to submit written testimony (in PDF file format please). No additional testimony is planned after December. 2.
