FINANCE & POLICY MINUTES

Representative Connie Bernardy, Chair of the Committee on Higher Education Finance and Policy, called the virtual meeting to order at 3:00 PM on March 16, 2022, pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was conducted over Zoom and broadcast via House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Klevorn moved that the minutes of March 15, 2022, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 4210 (Klevorn); Inclusive Higher Education Technical Assistance Center and inclusive higher education grant established, reports required, and money appropriated.

Representative Bernardy moved that HF 4210 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

Representative Bernardy renewed the motion that HF 4210 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

HF 4203 (Bernardy); American Indian scholarship eligibility and award amounts expanded, and money appropriated.

Representative Christensen moved that HF 4203 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

-Angel Swann, student

Representative Christensen renewed the motion that HF 4203 be laid over for possible inclusion in a committee omnibus bill.

HF 2723 (Noor); University of Minnesota campus safety supplemental financing provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Bernardy moved that HF 2723 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

Representative Bernardy renewed the motion that HF 2723 be laid over for possible inclusion in a committee omnibus bill.
