COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Connie Bernardy, Chair of the Higher Education Finance and Policy Division, called the virtual committee meeting to order at 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday March 16, 2021 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Vice Chair Christensen moved the minutes from March 10, 2021. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 1041 (Keeler) - Summer academic enrichment program funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Keeler moved that HF 1041 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Higher Education Finance Omnibus bill.

Representative Keeler presented HF 1041 to the committee.

Representative Keeler renewed her motion that HF 1041 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Higher Education Finance Omnibus bill. The bill was laid over.

HF 1708 (Wolgamott) - Hunger-free campus designation expanded, expiration repealed, and money appropriated.

Chair Bernardy moved that HF 1708 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Higher Education Finance Omnibus bill.

Chair Bernardy moved to adopt the A21 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Wolgamott presented HF 1708 to the committee.
