HUMAN SERVICES FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE

MINUTES

Representative Kristin Bahner, Vice Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:30 am on March 10th, 2021 remotely via Zoom and broadcast via House Public Information Services.


The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Rep. Moller moved that the minutes from March 9th, 2021 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1273 (Keeler) Office of the Ombudsperson for American Indian Families created, American Indian community-specific board provisions modified, money transferred, and money appropriated.

Vice Chair Bahner moved that HF1273 be laid over for possible inclusion in a budget omnibus.

HF1390 (Bierman) Community behavioral health clinic provisions modified, advisory working group established, rulemaking authorized, and report required.

Vice Chair Bahner moved to adopt the Division Report from the Behavioral Health Policy Division. THE REPORT WAS ADOPTED.

Vice Chair Bahner moved that HF1390 be placed on the General Register as recommended.

Vice Chair Bahner stated a roll call vote would be taken. The results were as follows:

HF740 (Edelson) Intermediate care facility payment rates for persons with developmental disabilities modified.

Vice Chair Bahner moved that HF740 be laid over for possible inclusion in a budget omnibus.


HF1420 (Hassan) Relative foster care case management, licensing support, and training services and resources established; local service agencies required to work with community-based organization to conduct required searches; commissioner of human services instructed to review opportunities to implement relative search services and kindship navigator models; and money appropriated.

Vice Chair Bahner moved the A1 Amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
