MINUTES

Representative Jennifer Schultz, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:30 am on February 23rd, 2021 remotely via Zoom and broadcast via House Public Information Services.


The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Rep. Bahner moved that the minutes from February 18th, 2021 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF713 (Stephenson) County agencies permitted to obtain information by phone or written communication to complete MFIP household report forms.
Chair Schultz moved that HF713 be recommended for placement on the General Register
Testifiers:
• Brad Thiel, Director, Anoka County Economic Assistance Department

Representative Schultz renewed her motion that HF713 be recommended for placement on the General Register.
Chair Schultz stated a roll call vote would be taken. The results were as follows:

HF822 (Koegel) Self-employment income treatment modified for cash assistance program eligibility purposes.
Representative Schultz moved HF822 before the committee.

Representative Koegel presented the bill.

Testifiers:
• Brad Thiel, Director, Anoka County Economic Assistance Department

Chair Schultz laid HF822 over for possible inclusion in a budget omnibus.

HF1339 (Pinto) Income and asset payments excluded for purposes of determining or redetermining eligibility for economic assistance and health care programs, and report required.
Rep. Pinto moved that HF1339 be recommended to be rereferred to the Committee on Health Services Finance and Policy.

Rep. Pinto renewed his motion to rerefer HF1339 to Health Finance and Policy.
