HEALTH FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE

MINUTES

Representative Tina Liebling, Chair of the Committee, called the virtual Health Finance and Policy Committee meeting to order at 1:00 P.M. on March 1, 2021 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting is being broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Munson moved that the minutes of February 26, 2021 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF19 (Morrison) Direct injectable drugs reimbursement provisions under medical assistance modified.

Representative Morrison moved that HF19 be heard and laid over for possible inclusion in the Health Finance and Policy Committee bill.

Representative Morrison presented her bill.

Chad Hope, ?Deputy Director, Division of Purchasing and Service Delivery, Minnesota Department of Human Services responded to member questions.

Chair Liebling laid over HF19 for possible inclusion in the Committee bill.

HF1419 (Hassan) Skin lightening creams containing mercury public awareness campaign created, and money appropriated.

Chair Liebling moved that HF1419 (Hassan) be heard and laid over for possible inclusion in the Health Finance and Policy Committee bill.

Chair Liebling moved the H1419A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Hassan presented her bill.

Chair Liebling laid over HF1419, as amended, for possible inclusion in the Committee bill.

HF256 (Morrison) Human services commissioner directed to seek federal funding for the development of recuperative health homes.

Representative Morrison moved that HF256 be heard and laid over for possible inclusion in the Health Finance and Policy Committee bill.

Representative Morrison presented her bill.

Tara Erickson, Contract Lobbyist, Hennepin County Medical Center, responded to member questions.

Chair Liebling laid over HF256 for possible inclusion in the Health Finance and Policy Committee bill.

HF633 (Bierman) First Engrossment Individual and small group health plan offerings required to include predeductible, flat co-pay on prescription drug option.

Representative Bierman moved that HF633 be heard and laid over for possible inclusion in the Health Finance and Policy Committee bill.

Representative Bierman presented his bill.
