CLIMATE AND ENERGY FINANCE AND POLICY MINUTES

Representative Jamie Long, Chair of the Committee on Climate and Energy Finance and Policy, called the virtual meeting to order at 10:30 AM on March 1st, 2022 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Long handed the gavel to Representative Acomb at 10:32am.

Representative Long presented HF 3614, a bill for an act relating to utilities; increasing an acquisition cost limit requiring Public Utilities Commission approval; amending Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 216B.50, subdivision 1.

Representative Long moved that HF 3614 be laid over for possible inclusion.

Representative Long moved the HF3614A1 amendment, THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Stephenson presented HF3151, a bill for an act relating to public utilities; providing a procedure for the resolution of disputes between public utilities and residential customers; amending Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 216B.17, subdivision 1; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 216B.

Representative Stephenson moved the HF3151DE1 amendment, THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Long moved that HF3337 be laid over for possible inclusion.
