MINUTES

Representative Jim Davnie, Chair of the Education Finance Committee, called the virtual meeting to order at 10:31am on March 23, 2022, pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was broadcasted via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Rep. Xiong moved that the minutes from March 22, 2022, be approved. Motion prevailed.

Information hearing on bill HF 951 (Rep. Richardson) - Dismissal of students in kindergarten through grade 3 prohibited.

HF 4424 (Rep. Sandstede) - Consolidation transition aid increased for consolidating school districts, and money appropriated.

Rep. Sandstede moved that HF 4424 be presented before the committee; be laid over for further consideration and possible inclusion in a future omnibus bill.

Rep. Sandstede presented HF 4424.

Rep. Sandstede renewed the motion to lay over HF 4424 for possible inclusion or for further consideration at a later date.

HF 4004 (Rep. T. Xiong) - Adult basic education aid growth factor modified, maximum contact hour rate increased, and money appropriated.

Rep. Xiong moved that HF 4004 be presented before the committee; be laid over for further consideration and possible inclusion in a future omnibus bill.
