HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES NINETY-SECOND SESSION
AGRICULTURE FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Mike Sundin, Chair of the Agriculture Finance and Policy Committee, called the virtual meeting to order at 1:01 P.M. on Monday, February 15, 2021, pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll. A quorum was present.

Rep. Vang moved to approve adoption of the minutes of the previous meeting. The motion prevailed. The minutes from the February 10, 2021 meeting were adopted.

MDA continued to provide a budget and program review, and responded to member questions.

HF 790 (Hanson, J.) Second Harvest Heartland previous appropriation modified, and money appropriated.

Rep. Hanson, J. moved that HF 790 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus Ag Finance bill.

Rep. Hanson, J. renewed her motion. HF 790 was laid over for further consideration in a future omnibus bill.

Chair Sundin passed the virtual gavel and Vice Chair Vang assumed the Chair at 1:57 P. M.

HF 178 (Sundin) COVID-19; agriculture 2020 appropriation availability modified.

Rep. Sundin moved that HF 178 be referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Rep. Sundin renewed his motion that HF 178 be referred to the Ways and Means Committee.
