MINUTES

Representative Richardson, Co-Chair of the Select Committee on Racial Justice, called the remote meeting to order at 1:00pm on Tuesday, October 20th, 2020, pursuant to House rule 10.01.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Richardson called the meeting at 1:00pm. A quorum was present.

Representative Demuth moved that the minutes of October 13th, 2020 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The committee watched an excerpt from the TPT documentary “Jim Crow of the North” as it relates to the economic costs of racism in Minnesota.

Bruce Corrie, PhD, testified on the topic of “The Economic Costs of Racism” to the committee. Member questions were taken during the presentation.

The meeting was adjourned at 3:02pm
