MINUTES

Representative Mariani, Chair of the Public Safety and Criminal Justice Reform Finance and Policy Division, called the meeting to order at 12:55 P.M. on February 5th, 2019, in room 120 of the State Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Considine moved that the minutes of the January 30th and 31st, 2019 meetings be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Dehn moved to reconsider the vote by which HF418 was referred. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Mariani moved to refer HF418 to the Ways and Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Overview presentation on Community Policing.

Presenting the overview:
Todd Miller, Director of Public Safety for the City of Mankato.

HF301 (Stephenson) A bill for an act relating to public safety; amending certain burglary crimes following a trespass notice.

Representative Considine moved to amend HF301 with amendment A1. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Stephenson presented HF301.

Testifiers:

Chair Mariani laid over HF301, as amended, for possible inclusion in the Public Safety Omnibus Bill.
