WAYS AND MEANS COMMITTEE

MINUTES

Representative Lyndon Carlson, Chair of the Committee, called the remote Ways and Means Committee meeting to order at 8:31 A.M. on Wednesday, May 6, 2020, pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was conducted over Zoom and broadcast via House Public Information Services, Facebook Live, and YouTube live streaming.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Nelson moved that the minutes of May 5, 2020 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Myron Frans, Commissioner, Dr. Laura Kalambokidis, State Economist, and Britta Reitan, State Budget Director, Minnesota Management and Budget, gave a presentation on the updated state budget projection and answered member questions.

Myron Frans, Britta Reitan, and Joe Kelly, Director, Homeland Security & Emergency Management, gave an overview on federal funds and work groups and answered member questions.

Representative Carlson made some administrative announcements.

The meeting adjourned at 10:41 A.M.
