SUBCOMMITTEE ON ELECTIONS

MINUTES

Representative Dehn, Chair of the Subcommittee on Elections, called the meeting to order at 9:45 AM on January 16, 2007, in Room 5 of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Dehn called the meeting to order at 9:45 AM. A quorum was present.

Representative Dehn made remarks from the Chair, introductions were made and committee rules were discussed.

Secretary Simon from the Office of Minnesota Secretary of State gave a presentation of an overview of the 2018 elections and answered questions.

Representative O’Driscoll moved HF17 be amended and referred to the Government Operations Committee.

HF17 (O’Driscoll): Help America Vote Act money appropriated for certain authorized purposes.

Representative O’Driscoll presented HF 17.

Representative O’Driscoll presented H0017A1. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative O’Driscoll renewed the motion that HF17, as amended, be re-referred to the Government Operations Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF14 (Nelson): Help American Vote Act money transferred and appropriated.

Representative Nelson presented HF14.

Secretary Simon, Office of Minnesota Secretary of State, testified on HF14.

Representative Dehn moved HF14 to be referred to the Government Operations Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
