MINUTES
Representative Freiberg, Chair of the Government Operations, called the meeting to order at 9:47AM on January 17th 2019, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Chair Freiberg called the meeting to order at 9:47. A quorum was present.

Representative West made a motion to approve minutes for January 15th, 2019. MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Freiberg asks for a motion to reconsider the minutes and add that the committee discussed the memo for referral of bills HF14 and HF17 to the Elections subcommittee. Representative Elkins makes a motion to approve this amendment to the minutes. MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Nelson moves for approval of the amended minutes. MOTION PREVAILED.

The Committee heard a presentation by the State Auditors office.

Chair Freiberg invited Representative O’Driscoll to give the committee information on HF17.

Chair Freiberg moved to refer HF17 to the Ways and Means committee. MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Freiberg invited Representative Nelson to give the committee information on HF14.

Representative Quam introduced amendment HF14A1.

Representative Quam testified on A1.

Discussion was had on the amendment.

Representative Quam withdrew amendment .

NELSON motion for referring HF14 to Ways and Means. MOTION PREVAILS.

Chair Freiberg goes over next week’s agenda.
