MINUTES

Representative Laurie Halverson, Chair of the Commerce Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:33 p.m. on March 4th, 2020, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Stephenson moved to approve the minutes from the committee meeting on March 3rd, 2020. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2974 (Brand)
High school raffle receipt permitted uses for school activities expanded.

Representative Halverson moved HF2974 be re-referred to the Education Policy Committee.

Representative Halverson moved A20-0689 (Brand) amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Halverson renewed the motion that HF2974, as amended, be re-referred to the Education Policy Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Vice Chair Stephenson assumed the gavel at 2:45 p.m.

Tobacco; flavored product sale or furnishing prohibited, selling or furnishing administrative penalties modified, persons under age 21 who sell or distribute flavored products alternative civil penalties provided, and criminal penalties provided.

*The Commerce Committee does not have possession of HF 3032 and will not at the time committee starts on Wednesday, March 4. Chair Halverson will hold an informational hearing on the bill on Wednesday, take testimony and debate, and then take no action. When we convene the next meeting we will take up HF 3032 to take up the motion to move the bill out of committee at that time but take no further testimony.*
