MINUTES

Representative Davids, Chair of the Taxes Committee, started the meeting at 10:15 AM, on Tuesday, April 10th, 2018, in Room 200 of the State Office Building. A quorum was not present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

HF4190 (Fischer) Mechanical insulation tax credit allowed.

Representative Davids officially called the meeting to order at 10:18 AM. A quorum was present.

Representative Schultz moved the minutes of Thursday, March 29th, 2018 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Davids moved HF4190 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus tax bill.

Testifiers:
Erik Houske, Insulators Local 34, St. Paul.

Representative Davids renewed his motion that HF4190 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus tax bill.

HF3853 (Loon) Refundable tax credit for qualified child care expenses, professionals, and providers established.

Representative Loon moved HF3853 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus tax bill.


Representative Loon moved the HF3853A4 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Karen DeVos, Little Learners.
Trinette Potts, former family child care provider.

Representative Loon renewed her motion that HF3853, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus tax bill.

HF3811 (Hertaus) Individual income tax rates reduced.

Representative Hertaus moved HF3811 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus tax bill.

Mike Hickey, National Federation of Independent Business.

Representative Hertaus renewed his motion that HF3811 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus tax bill.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:48 AM.
