MINUTES


Representative Schomacker, Chair of the Health and Human Services Reform Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:17 a.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2017, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Peterson moved to approve the minutes from January 24, 2017. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF324 (Backer) Interstate compact for the recognition of emergency medical service personnel licensure provided.

Representative Schomacker moved HF324 be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Civil Law.

Buck McAlpin, Minnesota Ambulance Association, testified on the bill.

Representative Schomacker renewed his motion that HF324 be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Civil Law. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF102 (Zerwas) Ambulatory service intergovernmental transfer modified.

Representative Schomacker moved HF102 be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Finance.

Representative Schomacker moved the A1 Amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Buck McAlpin, Minnesota Ambulance Association, testified on the bill, as amended.

Representative Schomacker renewed his motion that HF102, as amended, be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF103 (Zerwas) Medical assistance rate increase for ambulance service scope expanded.

Representative Schomacker moved HF103 be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Finance.

Representative Schomacker moved the A1-1 Amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Schomacker renewed his motion that HF103, as amended, be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF106 (Zerwas) Community medical response emergency medical technician service criteria modified.

Representative Schomacker moved HF106 be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Finance.

Representative Schomacker moved the A1 Amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
