MINUTES

Chair Dean called the meeting to order at 1:02 PM on January 10, 2017, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Chair Dean and the committee discussed the committee rules, staff roster, and House Research assignments.

Shawn Welch, Director, and Susan Snyder, Assistant Director of the Reports and Forecasts Division of the Minnesota Department of Human Services, presented an overview on the Medical Assistance and MinnesotaCare funding.

Anna Minge, Executive Budget Officer, Minnesota Management and Budget, presented on the Health Care Access Fund.

Chuck Johnson, Deputy Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Human Services, testified on the Department’s use of periodic data matching to verify premium claims.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:34 PM.
