MINUTES



Representative Tim O’Driscoll, Chair of the Government Operation and Election Policy Committee called the meeting to order at 10:37AM on March 29, 2018, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

HF3851 (Albright) American Indian Child Welfare Advisory Council extended.

Representative O’Driscoll moved HF3851 before the committee to be referred to the General Register.

Representative Albright presented HF3851.

Representative O’Driscoll renewed his motion to move HF3851 to be referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF4211 (Fabian) All-terrain vehicles allowed in certain state campgrounds.

Representative O’Driscoll moved HF4211 before the committee to be referred to the General Register.

Representative Fabian presented HF4211.

George Rake, ATVAM testified in favor of HF4211.

Representative O’Driscoll moved HF3153 before the committee to be referred to the General Register.

Representative Loonan presented HF4153.

Paul Nelson, Scott County testified in favor of HF4153.

Representative O’Driscoll renewed his motion to move HF4153 to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3210 (Loonan) County authorization for storm and sanitary sewer systems modified.

Representative O’Driscoll moved HF3210 before the committee to be referred to the General Register.

Representative Loonan presented HF3210.

Paul Nelson, Environmental Services testified on HF3210.

Representative O’Driscoll renewed his motion to move HF3210 to be referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3338 (Johnson) Security screening systems added to ionizing radiation-producing equipment, and rulemaking authorized.

Representative O’Driscoll moved HF3338 before the committee to be rereferred to the Health and Human Services Committee.

Representative Johnson presented HF3338.

David Pacholl, Anoka County Sheriff’s Office testified in favor of HF3338.

Representative O’Driscoll renewed his motion to move HF3338 to be rereferred to the Health and Human Services Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
