MINUTES

Representative Loon, Chair of the Education Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 1:07 P.M. on February 23rd, 2017, in Room Five of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Poston moved that the minutes of February 22nd, 2017 be adopted. THE MO-TION PREVAILED.

HF1380 Fenton, Paraprofessional pathway to teacher licensure funding increased, and money appropriated.

Representative Loon moved that HF1380 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill or for further action at a later time.

Representative Fenton testified on HF1380.

Representative Loon renewed the motion that HF1380 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill or for further action at a later time.

HF1255 Loon, School-linked mental health services appropriations increased, school staff and program development provided, intermediate school district program evaluation required, and additional supports for students attending alternative learning centers provided.

HF1255 was heard on an informational basis.

Representative Loon testified on HF1255.
