MINUTES

Representative Dennis Smith, Vice-Chair of the Civil Law and Data Practices Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:17 AM, on March 16th, 2017, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Vogel moved to approve the minutes of March 14th, 2017. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2245 (Scott) Education data access modified, at-home infant child care program funding provided, welfare system terminology and definition modified, and money appropriated.

Representative Scott moved that HF2245 be referred to the General Register.

Representative Scott moved to adopt the following oral amendment to HF2245 “Delete Section 1, Section 6, Section 7, and Section 8.” THE ORAL AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Scott renewed her motion that HF2245 as amended be referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1840 (Scott) Laws and statutes miscellaneous and technical corrections made; erroneous, obsolete, and omitted text and references corrected; and redundant, conflicting, and superseded provisions removed.

Representative Scott moved that HF1840 be referred to the General Register.

Representative Scott renewed her motion that HF1840 be referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Scott assumed the gavel at 8:36 AM.

Representative Scott recessed the committee at 8:39 AM.

Representative Scott reconvened the committee at 8:42 AM.

HF2376 - (Torkelson): State road construction appropriation modified.

Representative Scott moved that HF2376 be referred to the committee on Ways and Means.

Representative Scott renewed her motion that HF2376 be referred to the Committee on Ways and Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1847 - (Becker-Finn): Background check consistency provided.

Representative Scott moved that HF1847 be referred to the General Register.

Representative Loonan moved the HF1847A2 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
