SELECT COMMITTEE ON AFFORDABLE CHILD CARE
MINUTES

Representative Franson, Chair of the Select Committee on Affordable Child Care, called the meeting to order at 6:05 p.m. on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, in the Central Lakes College Cafeteria in Brainerd, Minnesota.

Legislative Assistant David Larson noted the roll.

Representative Dale Lueck introduced himself.

Representative Josh Heintzeman introduced himself.

Jerry Kerber, Minnesota Department of Human Services, spoke about the Department’s work within the child care industry and answered questions of the committee and the public.

Representative Franson opened the meeting to public testimony.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:57 p.m.

The first meeting of the Select Committee on Affordable Child Care will be held in Brainerd, MN on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at the Central Lakes College Cafeteria (501 W. College Dr.) from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The committee will be hearing from providers, parents, and the public about child care in the region.
