MINUTES

Representative Tim Kelly, Chair of the Transportation Policy and Finance Committee, called the sixth meeting to order at 12:48 p.m. on February 2, 2015, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Kelly called the meeting to order at 12:48 p.m. A quorum was present.

Representative Anderson moved to approve the minutes of January 28, 2015. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Adam Duininck, Chair of the Metropolitan Council, gave opening remarks about the Metropolitan Council.

Judd Schetnan, Government Affairs Director for the Metropolitan Council, gave an overview of Metropolitan Council’s role in regional transit.

Brian Lamb, General Manager of Metro Transit, made remarks on contracted regular route services.

Brian Lamb, General Manager of Metro Transit, gave an overview of Metro Transit.

Arlene McCarthy, Director of Metropolitan Transportation Services, gave an overview of contracted services.

Peter McLaughlin, Chair of the Counties Transit Improvement Board, gave an overview of the Counties Transit Improvement Board’s operations.

Scott Schulte, Anoka County Commissioner, gave remarks on transit and transportation.

Jeff Wosje, Chair of the Suburban Transit Association, and Jerry McDonald, Vice Chair of the Suburban Transit Association, gave an overview of the Suburban Transit Association and services that they provide.

James Clark, gave remarks on Suburban Transit Association funding.



The meeting was adjourned at 2:41 p.m.
