TRANSPORTATION POLICY AND FINANCE COMMITTEE
MINUTES

Representative Kelly, Chair of the Transportation Policy and Finance Committee, called the forty-second meeting to order at 12:45 PM on May 5, 2016 in the Basement of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Norton moved the minutes of April 20, 2016 to be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3959 (SMITH) Real ID Act implementation authorized and governed, driver’s license and Minnesota identification card requirements amended, fees amended, legislative reporting required, rulemaking required, and money appropriated.

Representative Smith testified on HF3959.

Twila Brase, Citizens Council for Health Freedom, testified on HF3959.

William Durkop, testified on HF3959.

Dawn Olsen, DVS, testified on HF3959.

Representative Kelly moved the H3959A6 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Brenda Davitt, Finance Director for the City of New Brighton, testified on HF3959.

Representative Bernardy moved the H3959A7 Amendment.

Representative Bernardy withdrew her motion to move the H3959A7 Amendment.

Representative Hornstien moved the H3959DE3 Amendment.

Paul Meekin, DVS, testified on HF3959.

Representative Hornstein requested a roll call vote on the H3959DE3 Amendment. The results of the roll call vote were as follows:
