Representative Greg Davids, Chair of the Tax Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:15 a.m. on January 13th, 2015, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Davids began the meeting at 10:15. A quorum was NOT present.

Representative Davids moved that HF132 come before the committee.

HF132 Rosenthal: Bullion coin sales and use taxation exemption provided.

Representative Rosenthal and Gary Adkins, Minnesotans for Precious Metals Fairness, testified on HF132, first engrossment

A quorum was present at 10:18 and the meeting was called to order.

Representative Davids moved that HF132 was laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus tax bill.

Representative Davids moved that HF6 come before the committee.

HF6 Davids: A bill for an act relating to taxation; income; conforming to federal changes; amending Minnesota Statutes 2014, sections 289A.02, subdivision 7; 290.01, subdivisions 19, 31; 290A.03, subdivision 15; 291.005, subdivision 1.

Cynthia Bauerly and Paul Cummings, Department of Revenue, testified on HF6, first engrossment
Paul Eger, Minnesota Association of Realtors, testified on HF6, first engrossment.
Todd Koch, Minnesota CPA Society, testified on HF 6, first engrossment.
Mary O’Connor, Brooklyn Center resident, testified on HF6, first engrossment.

Representatives Davids moved the H0006A1 Amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Kathleen Lamb, DMCC-EDA, testified on the H0006A1 Amendment.
Commissioner Bauerly, testified on the H0006A1 Amendment

Representative Davids moved the HF0006, as amended, be referred to the Ways & Means Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Davids and other members, staff were introduced.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:41 by Representative Davids.
