Representative Bob Dettmer, Chair of the Veterans Affairs Division, called the meeting to order at 12:47 on January 26, 2015, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Peter Fischer moved to approve the minutes of January 12, 2015. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Vice Chair Representative Dave Hancock assumed the gavel at 12:49 PM.
HF 10 Wills, Veterans jobs tax credit provided.
Representative Anna Wills; Dennis Davis, Chief Translation Officer of Metafrazo; Joe Johnson, Founder of Trust Vets; Jerry Kyser, Vice Chairman of the United Veterans Legislative Council; and Carney Meekins, Chairman of the Community Ministry Outreach & Restoration Center at Central Lutheran Church testified about HF10.
Chair Representative Bob Dettmer moved to re-refer HF10 to the Taxes Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Chair Representative Bob Dettmer assumed the gavel at 1:12 PM.
Mike McElhiney, Legislative Director of the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs; Robin Guastad, Deputy Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs; and John Powers, Finance Director of the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs testified about the five State Veterans Homes in Minnesota.
The meeting was adjourned at 2:16 PM.
