MINUTES

Representative Nash, Member of the State Government Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:16 A.M. on March 24, 2016, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Nash called the meeting to order at 8:16 A.M. A quorum was present.

Representative Carlson moved that the minutes from the committee meeting on March 23, 2016 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Nash moved that HF1688 come before the committee and be laid over for possible inclusion.

HF1688 (Mullery) – Statute of limitations for a minor child filing a claim under the Human Rights Act extended.

Representative Mullery presented HF1688.

Scott Beutel, Legislative Liaison for the Minnesota Department of Human Rights, testified on HF1688.

Representative Nash renewed the motion that HF1688 be laid over for possible inclusion. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Nash moved that HF1957 come before the committee and be laid over for possible inclusion.

HF1957 (Youakim) – Individual income tax return free electronic filing system implementation by revenue commissioner required, and money appropriated.

Representative Youakim presented HF1957.

Representative Nash moved the A16-0859 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Terri Steenblock, Assistant Commissioner of Individual Taxes for the Minnesota Department of Revenue, testified on HF1957.

Representative Nash renewed the motion that HF1957 be laid over, as amended, for possible inclusion. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:18 A.M.
