STATE GOVERNMENT FINANCE COMMITTEE
MINUTES

Representative Anderson, Chair of the State Government Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 6:02 P.M. on May 14, 2015, in the Basement of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Chair Anderson called the meeting to order at 6:02 P.M. A quorum was present.

Representative Pugh moved that the minutes from the committee meeting on April 15, 2015 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Anderson moved that SF1398 come before the committee.

SF1398 (O’Driscoll) – Omnibus retirement bill.

Chair Anderson moved that the language from HF1508 be inserted into SF1398. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The following testified on SF1398:

Chair Anderson moved the S1398-7A amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Anderson moved the S1398-6A amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

The following testified on the 6A amendment:

Rachel Thurlow, Acting Director, Legislative Commission on Pensions and Retirement

Chair Anderson moved the S1398-5A amendment.

Chair Anderson moved the oral amendment to the S1398-5A amendment as follows:

“Page 1, line 3 – delete “and insert”. Page 1, delete lines 4 and 5.”

Representative Johnson requested a roll call vote. The results were as follows:

Chair Anderson renewed the motion that SF1398 be re-referred to the Committee on Ways & Means, as amended.
