MINUTES

Representative Cornish, Chair of the Public Safety and Crime Prevention Policy and Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:17A.M. on March 19, 2015 in Hearing Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Cornish called the meeting to order at 10:17 A.M. A quorum was present.

Representative Zerwas moved that the minutes from the March 18, 2015 meeting be approved.

THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 0307 (Fabian): Proof of insurance in electronic format provided.

Representative Zerwas moved to pass HF 0307 and move to the general register.

Representative Zerwas renewed his motion to pass HF 0307 and move to the general register.

HF 0305 (Fabian): Minnesota Personal Protection Act amended to recognize the North Dakota permit to carry a pistol as being valid in Minnesota.

Representative Newberger moved to pass HF 0305 and move to the general register.

Representative Newberger moved the A15-0286 Amendment.

Representative Newberger moved to pass HF 0722 and move to the general register.

Lines 2.18 and 2.19 reinstate the striken language
Lines 2.31 through 2.36 reinstate the striken language

Lines 3.22 and 3.22 to be deleted
Page 3, section 2 to be deleted

HF 0969 (Hertaus): Offenders placed on intensive supervised release from prison required to be placed on electronic monitoring immediately upon release.

Representative Hertaus moved HF 0969 to be laid over for possible inclusion in omnibus bill.

Representative Hertaus moved the DE2 Amendment.

Representative Hilstrom moved to orally amend the DE2 Amendment as follows:
Line 1.15 strike “must” insert “may”
Line 2.15 strike “must” insert “may
Line 2.33 strike “must” insert “may”
