MINUTES

Representative Mack, Chair of the Health and Human Services Reform committee, called the meeting to order at 10:13 AM on March 20th, 2015, in Room 10 at the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Mack called the meeting to order at 10:13 AM. A quorum was not present.

Representative Daniels presented HF1152 for informational purposes only.

Testifying on HF1152 were Erin Buie, Director, Care Providers of Minnesota, and Danielle Hochhalter, LeadingAge Minnesota.

Representative Schomacker moved that HF316 be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Finance.

Testifying on HF316 were Jeff Bostic, LeadingAge Minnesota, Todd Bergstrom, Care Providers of Minnesota, Toby Pearson, Care Providers of Minnesota, and Kari Thurlow, LeadingAge Minnesota.

A quorum was present at 11:11 AM.

Representative Backer moved to adopt the minutes from March 18th, 2015. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Schultz moved to adopt the A9 amendment.

Representative Schultz requested a roll call vote. The results are as follows:

Representative Schomacker renewed his motion that HF316 be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Loeffler moved that HF1982 be re-referred to the Committee on Taxes.

Representative Loeffler moved to adopt the A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Loeffler renewed her motion that HF1982, as amended, be re-referred to the Committee on Taxes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Dean moved that HF2038 be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Finance.

Representative Liebling moved to adopt the RC-A03 amendment.

Representative Mack recessed the committee at 12:36 PM.

Representative Mack reconvened the committee at 1:45 PM

Representative Dean moved to adopt an oral amendment. The oral amendment is as follows:

“Line 6.12, after ‘subcontractors’, insert, “, including bargaining groups,” THE ORAL AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Franson moved that HF627 be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services.

Representative Franson renewed her motion that HF627 be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Zerwas moved that HF973 be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Finance.

Representative Zerwas moved to adopt the DE1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Zerwas renewed his motion that HF973, as amended, be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Mack moved that HF1535 be re-referred to the Committee on Civil Law and Data Practices.

Representative Mack moved to adopt the A2 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Mack moved to adopt the DE1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
