MINUTES

Representative Sondra Erickson, Chair of the Education Innovation Policy Committee, began the meeting at 10:03 AM on December 1, 2015, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Roz Peterson moved to approve the minutes of March 26, 2015. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Drew Christensen moved to approve the minutes of November 5, 2015 of a joint meeting of the Education Innovation Policy Committee and the Education Finance Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Dean Urdahl testified to House File 1497.

Peggy Moon, Former Commander of the American Legion Minnesota Division, testified to House File 1497.

Daniel Ludwig, Former National Commander of the American Legion, testified to House File 1497.

Brenda Cassellius, Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Education, testified to federal and state accountability efforts, including World’s Best Workforce efforts, Multiple Measurements Ratings, Focus Ratings and the Every Student Succeeds Act.

Stephanie Graff

Kent Pecal testified to Multiple Measurements Ratings.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:37 AM.
