MINUTES
Representative Kiel, Vice-Chair of the Agriculture Finance Committee, started the meeting at 10:18 A.M. on April 8, 2015, in Room Five of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Kiel started the meeting at 10:18 A.M. A quorum was not present.
Representative Hamilton assumed the gavel at 10:19 A.M.
At 10:21 A.M a quorum was present, and Representative Hamilton called the meeting to order.
Representative Johnson moved that the minutes of April 7, 2015 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF1337 Kiel, Agricultural Utilization Research Institute provided funding to increased capacity for rural economic development, and money appropriated.
Dan Skogen with Agricultural Utilization Research Institute (AURI) and Dan Hoffman with New Vision Consulting provided testimony on HF1337.
Chair Hamilton laid over HF1337.
HF153 Clark, Urban agriculture development grants established, and money appropriated.
Edward McDonald and Kolloh Nimley with the Council on Black Minnesotans, Michael Chaney with Project Sweetie Pie, Annie Livingston-Anderson and Abel Martinez with 24th St. Community Urban Farm, along with Rekoe Howard in Project Superman Fresh Starts Farm provided testimony on HF153.
Representative Hamilton moved the H0153DE4 amendment.
Representative Clark moved the H0153A4 amendment to the H0153DE4 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Santo Cruz with the Minnesota Department of Agriculture provided testimony on the H0153DE4 as amended.
Representative Hamilton renewed his motion to the H0153DE4 amendment to the bill as amended. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Representative Lueck moved the H0153A6 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Chair Hamilton laid over HF153.
