MINUTES
Representative Carlson, Chair of the Ways and Means Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:09 A.M. on Monday, May 5, 2014, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Rep. Anzelc moved approval of the minutes of Monday, April 28, 2014. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.
Chair Carlson moved that HF3169, Second Engrossment, be recommended to be placed on the General Register.
Chair Carlson moved to amend HF3169, Second Engrossment. (See attached Amendment
A14-1163). THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Rep. Metsa presented HF 3169, Second Engrossment, as amended (Metsa) Legislative Salary Council established, and constitutional amendment proposed to stop lawmakers from setting their own pay.
Helen Roberts, Fiscal Analyst, responded to questions regarding the fiscal impact of HF3169, Second Engrossment, as amended.
Colbey Sullivan, House Research, responded to questions regarding HF3169, Second Engrossment, as amended.
Mark Shepard, House Research, responded to questions regarding HF3169, Second Engrossment.
Chair Carlson renewed the motion that HF3169, Second Engrossment, as amended, be recommended to be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Nancy Conley, Committee Administrator, presented the upcoming calendar for the Committee on Ways and Means.
Chair Carlson recessed the meeting at 10:45 A.M.
The Ways and Means Committee recessed and it did not reconvene so the meeting was automatically adjourned at 12 midnight.
