MINUTES

Representative Murphy, Chair of Committee on State Government Finance and Veterans Affairs, called the meeting to order at 12:35 March 13, 2013 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Rep. Bernardy moved HF 576 for possible inclusion in the State Government Finance Omnibus Bill.

Representative Bernardy presented on HF 576 (Bernardy) Secretary of State authorized to solicit funds.

Rep. Bernardy moved A13-0231 amendment to HF 576, discussion continued.

Rep. Bernardy renewed the motion that HF 576 as amended, would be laid over for possible inclusion on the State Government Finance Omnibus Bill. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Simon moved HF 253 be laid over for possible inclusion in the State Government Finance Omnibus Bill.

Representative Simon presented HF 253 (Simon) State auditor enterprise fund created, and money appropriated.

Representative Simon presented HF 279 (Simon) JOBZ and business subsidy agreement audit requirements modified.

Rep. Persell moved HF 651 for possible inclusion in the State Government Finance Omnibus Bill.

Representative Persell presented HF 651 (Persell) Accounting software development and updating provided for, and money appropriated.

Representative Dettmer presented HF 88 (Dettmer) Rehabilitation presumption established through a person's honorable military service following a prior offense.

Rep. Dettmer renewed the motion that HF 88, as amended, be recommended to pass and sent to general register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Persell moved that HF 903 be recommended to pass and referred to the committee on ways and means.

Representative Persell presented HF 903 Beltrami County; veterans home established.

Rep. Persell moved amendment 903A2. THE MOTION PREVAILED.AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Rep. Persell offered a technical amendment to the title, delete "establishing" and insert "authorizing" THE MOTION PREVAILED. AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Persell renewed the motion that HF903 as amended be recommended to pass and be referred to the committee on Ways and Means. THE MOTION PERVAILED.

Rep. Newton moved approval of the minutes from the meeting of Monday, March 4, 2013, Wednesday, March 6, 2013 and Monday, March 11, 2013. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:04 PM.
