MINUTES

Representative Murphy, Chair of Committee on State Government Finance and Veterans Affairs, called the meeting to order at 11:36 a.m. February 11, 2013 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

HF 5: Rep. Atkins presented an overview of HF 5.

Chair Murphy moves that HF 5, 4th engrossment be recommended to pass and be referred to the committee on Health and Human Services Finance.

Rep. Atkins answers questions on HF 5.

Fiscal Analyst, Helen Roberts, discussed the fiscal impact HF 5 would have on the agencies in the jurisdiction of State Government Finance and Veterans Affairs Committee: MMB, Administration, Office of Enterprise Technology and Legislature/Legislative Auditor.

Barbara Juelich, Budget Director for MMB; answered members questions on fiscal note.
Jim Nobel, Legislative Auditor; answered members questions on fiscal note.

Time for Public Testimony was available:

Kathryn Kmit, MN Council of Health Plans
Kate Johansen, MN Chamber of Commerce

Members asked testifiers questions until 2:00 p.m.

Chair Murphy announced that the next meeting would be on Wednesday, February 13, 2013.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:02 p.m.
