MINUTES

Representative Liebling, Chair of Committee on Health and Human Services Policy, called the meeting to order at 2:21 pm March 5, 2014 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

No members were absent. A quorum was present.

Representative Johnson moved the minutes from interim hearings held on October 9 and November 13 of 2013, and January 28 and January 29 of 2014. Motion prevailed. Minutes adopted.

Representative Ward moved that HF2177 (Ward) be recommended to be re-referred to the Commerce and Consumer Protection Finance and Policy Committee.

Representative Ward offered the oral amendment as follows: on line 2.9 after the word “equipment” insert “as defined by current law 325H.01, subdivision 6”.

Representative Ward renewed her motion that HF2177 (Ward) be recommended to be re-referred as amended to the Commerce and Consumer Protection Finance and Policy Committee. Motion prevailed.

Chair Liebling moved that HF2408 (Newton) be recommended to be re-referred to the Health and Human Services Finance Committee. Representative Newton presented information on the bill.

With 20 Ayes and 0 Nays, the motion prevailed. HF2408 is re-referred to the Health and Human Services Finance Committee.

The committee recessed at 3:41 pm.

The committee reconvened at 6:52 pm.

Chair Liebling moved that HF2526 (Norton) be recommended to be re-referred to the Civil Law Committee.

Chair Liebling moved the H2526DE1 amendment. Motion prevailed. Amendment adopted. Representative Norton offered to incorporate an oral amendment to H2326DE1, Chair Liebling moved the oral amendment as follows: on line 2.7 delete the word “may” and insert “have a right to”. Motion prevailed. The oral amendment is adopted.

Representative Allen moved that HF2458 (Allen) be recommended to be re-referred to the Health and Human Services Finance Committee.

Representative Allen moved the H2458A2 amendment. Motion prevailed. Amendment adopted.

Representative Allen renewed her motion that HF2458 (Allen) be recommended to be re-referred as amended to the Health and Human Services Finance Committee. Motion prevailed.
