MINUTES

Representative Freiberg, Vice-Chair of Committee on Government Operations, called the meeting to order at 10:05am on April 10, 2013 in Room B of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Lien moved approval of the minutes from April 9, 2013. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1684 (Nelson) Metropolitan Council redistricting provided

Chair Nelson moved that HF1684 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Rules.

Chair Nelson moved to amend HF1684 (See attached H1684A1 amendment). THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Lee Meilleur, Legislative Coordinating Commission
Mayor John Zanmiller, West St. Paul

Representative Hansen moved to amend the H1684A1 amendment, as follows:

Page 1, Line 5, delete "…", insert "MC2013-4"
Page 1, Line 1.7, delete “….", insert “April 8th"

THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Nelson renewed the motion that HF1684, as amended, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Rules. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The committee recessed at 10:50am.

The committee reconvened at 10:52am.

HF1710 (Hansen) Environmental Quality Board provisions modified

Representative Hansen moved that HF1710 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Rules.

Representative Hansen moved to amend HF1710 (See attached H1710A1 amendment). THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Hansen moved to amend HF1710 (See attached H1710A3 amendment).

Joanne Bartkus, Minnesota Department of Health

Representative Hansen renewed the motion to amend HF1710 (See attached H1710A3 amendment). THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Hansen renewed the motion that HF1710, as amended, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Rules.
