MINUTES

Representative Nelson, Chair of Committee on Government Operations, called the meeting to order at 10:04am on March 6, 2013 in Room B of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was not present.

HF588 (Atkins) Hospitals required to provided staffing at levels consistent with nationally accepted standards, and staff level reporting required.

A quorum was present at 10:06am.

Chair Nelson moved that HF588 be recommended to pass and re-referred to Health and Human Services Policy.

Chair Nelson moved to amend HF588 (See attached H0588A4 amendment). THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Falk moved to amend HF588, as amended (See attached H0588A7 amendment)

Representative Falk incorporated an oral amendment to H0588A7 as follows:

On line 1.4, delete "must meet", insert "are exempt from"
On line 1.5, delete "beginning July 1, 2017."

Rep. Falk renewed the motion to amend HF588, as amended (See attached H0588A7 amendment, as amended). THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Nelson renewed the motion that HF588, as amended, be recommended to pass and re-referred to Health and Human Services Policy.

Chair Nelson moved that HF548 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Capitol Investment.
