MINUTES

Representative Atkins, Chair of Committee on Commerce and Consumer Protection Finance and Policy, called the meeting to order at 4:05 PM 1/16/2013 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Meeting was called to order.

Introductions were given.

Ed Van Petten gave an overview of the MN State Lottery. This included an introduction, financial overview, and some new initiatives the MN State Lottery is taking.

An overview of the electronic pull tabs and linked bingo system was given by Tom Barrett.

Matt Massman then gave an additional testimony on the revenue estimates on charitable gambling in reference to the Vikings Stadium.

Allen Lund, Executive Director for Allied Charities then gave testimony.

Chairman Jesse Overton from the MN Racing Commission gave an overview of the commission.

The meeting was adjourned at 5:30 PM.
