JUDICIARY POLICY AND FINANCE COMMITTEE

MINUTES

Representative Shimanski, Chair of the Judiciary Policy and Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:20 A.M. on February 16, 2012, in Room 10 (ground floor) of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Vogel moved approval of the February 14, 2012 Judiciary Policy and Finance Committee minutes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Runbeck presented HF 1872. Maximum fees repealed.

Representative Schomacker moved HF1872 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.

Representative Schomacker renewed his motion that HF1872 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Gottwalt presented HF 1945. Criminal neglect of vulnerable adult penalty modified.

Representative Gruenhagen moved HF 1945 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Public Safety and Crime Prevention Policy and Finance.

Representative Gottwalt offered the H1945DE2 Amendment.

Representative Gruenhagen moved the H1945DE2 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Cornish presented HF 1938. Fugitive apprehension unit authorized to apply search warrants.

Representative Cornish moved HF 1938 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Public Safety and Crime Prevention Policy and Finance.
