HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES REFORM COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Mack, Vice Chair, of the Health and Human Services Reform Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:34 P.M. on March 6, 2012, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Mack began the meeting at 2:31 P.M. A quorum was not present.
Representative Mack officially called the meeting to order at 2:34. A quorum was present.

HF2237 (Gottwalt) Hospital community benefit programs and health maintenance organization collaboration plans; evidence-based strategy requirements removed.

Representative Gottwalt moved that HF2237 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the General Register.

HF1993 (Barrett) Advisory council provisions modified.

Representative Barrett moved that HF1993 be recommend to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Government Operations.

Representative Barrett moved the H1993DE2 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Gottwalt assumed the gavel at 3:42P.M.

HF1994 (Gottwalt) Health and human services policy provisions changed; provisions modified relating to continuing care, telephone equipment program, chemical and mental health, and health care; and comprehensive assessment and case management services reformed.

Representative Gottwalt moved that HF1994 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Civil Law.

Representative Gottwalt moved the H1994A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Gottwalt moved the H1994A2 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Norton moved to orally amend HF1994 by: P. 93, delete "L. 93.33, P.94, delete, "L.94.1 thru 94.10". THE ORAL AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Gottwalt moved the H1994A3 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Abeler moved the H2258A2 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

HF2555 (Kiffmeyer) Sunset review changes implemented, agency requirements changed, posting required for felony or gross misdemeanor and malpractice settlements or judgments for a regulated practitioner, regulated practitioner information required, fund transfer prohibited, and money appropriated.

Representative Kiffmeyer moved that HF2555 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Civil Law.

Representative Kiffmeyer moved to orally amend HF2555 by: P.6, L. 6.29 delete "settlements", L.6.30 delete, "and". THE ORAL AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Kiffmeyer moved the H2555A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
