MINUTES

Representative Kelly, Vice Chair of the Education Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 12:34 p.m. on February 15, 2012, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Greiling moved that the minutes of February 14, 2012 be adopted.
THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1860 (Woodard) Operating referendum levy aids provided to charter schools.

Representative Woodard moved HF1860 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Woodard moved the H1860A1 amendment to HF1860.
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Woodard presented HF1860.

Representative Kelly laid HF1860 over for possible inclusion in a future omnibus bill.

HF638 (Myhra) School grading system created, school recognition program created, school report cards modified, rulemaking authorized, and report required.

Representative Myhra moved HF638 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the committee on Ways and Means.

Representative Myhra moved the H638A7 amendment to HF638.
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Kelly moved HF1913 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Kelly moves an oral amendment to HF1913.
Delete subdivision 2.
Line 1.14, delete 3, replace with 2.
