Representative Garofalo, Chair of the Education Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 12:30 p.m. on February 15, 2011, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

Representative Mariani moved that the minutes of February 10, 2011 be adopted.

HF346 (McFarlane) School district capital account fund transfer authorized.
Chairman Garofalo moved HF346 be laid over for possible inclusion in an education finance omnibus bill.

HF71 (Simon) School districts authorized to use its operating capital for certain costs associated with closing a school.
Chairman Garofalo moved HF71 be laid over for possible inclusion in an education finance omnibus bill.
Representative Steve Simon presented the bill.
Chairman Garofalo renewed his motion that HF71 be laid over for possible inclusion in an education finance omnibus bill.
REPRESENTATIVE KELLY LAID OVER HF71 FOR POSSIBLE INCLUSION IN AN OMNIBUS EDUCATION FINANCE BILL.
HF301 (Fabian) Operating capital revenue use expanded to include leasing vehicles, including school buses.
Representative Kelly moved HF301 be laid over for possible inclusion in an education finance omnibus bill.
Representative Fabian presented the bill.
Representative Kelly renewed his motion that HF301 be laid over for possible inclusion in an education finance omnibus bill.
