MINUTES

Representative Westrom, Chair of the Civil Law Committee, called the meeting to order at 12:32 PM on Wednesday, February 29, 2012, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Hilty moved for approval of the minutes from Wednesday, February 22, 2012. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 2333 (Swedzinski) Motor fuel theft specifically included in the theft crime, and permissive inference created.

Representative Westrom moved that HF 2333 be recommended to pass and referred to General Register.

Representative Drazkowski moved to adopt the H2333A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Lesch moved to orally amend HF 2333: page 4, line 20 after property, and delete the new language on lines 20 to 29.

Representative Lesch withdrew the oral amendment.

Representative Westrom moved to lay over HF 2333, as amended.

HF 578 (Koenen) Easement portion acquired by condemnation discharge

Representative Drazkowski moved that HF 578 be recommended to pass and referred to the Transportation Policy and Finance Committee.

Representative Westrom moved to adopt the H578A5 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Westrom renewed motion that HF578, as amended, be recommended to pass and referred to the Transportation Policy and Finance Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 2333 (Swedzinski) Motor fuel theft specifically included in the theft crime, and permissive inference created.

Representative Lesch moved to adopt the H2333A2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair renewed the motion that HF 2333, as amended, be recommended to pass and referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting was adjourned at 1:44 PM.
