MINUTES

Representative Hamilton, Chair of the Agriculture & Rural Development Policy & Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:21 a.m. on January 26, 2012, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Shimanski moved to approve the minutes of May 11 2011. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Hamilton invited Representative Chris Swezinski to present a bill draft, waiting for introduction, for an informational hearing.

The Governor's Bonding recommendations were presented to the committee.
Testifying on the bonding recommendations were:
Greta Gauthier, Director of Government Relations, Minnesota Department of Agriculture
Jim Boerboom - Deputy Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Agriculture

Representative Kent Eken moved to pass the Governor’s bonding recommendation for the Rural Finance Authority Loans. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Kent Eken moved to pass the Governor’s bonding recommendation for the Emergency Power Supply for MDA/MDH Labs. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting was adjourned at 12:00 pm.
