MINUTES
Debra Hilstrom, Chair of the Public Safety Policy & Oversight Committee, started the twelfth meeting of the House Public Safety Policy & Oversight Committee at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present at 1:04pm and the meeting was officially called to order.
The following individuals provided an overview of oversight of the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, and took questions from the committee:
Michael Campion, Commissioner of the Department of Public Safety
Mary Ellison, Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Public Safety
John Willems, Director, Minnesota Alcohol & Gambling Enforcement, Dept. Public Safety
Tim O’Malley, Bureau of Criminal Apprehension
Chair Hilstrom called for a motion to approve the minutes of February 12, 2009 for both the Public Safety Policy & Oversight Committee hearing, and the Joint Hearing of the Committees on Public Safety Policy & Oversight, Public Safety Finance, Health Care & Human Services Policy & Oversight, and Health Care & Human Services Finance.
Rep. Lesch moved to approve the minutes of both hearings.
THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES WERE ADOPTED.
The meeting was adjourned at 2:12 pm.
