Representative Cy Thao, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 6:35 P.M. on Thursday, March 4, 2010 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Norton moved that the minutes of February 10, 2010 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Ruud moved that HF3272 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Health Care and Human Services Policy and Oversight.

Representative Ruud moved to amend HF3272 as follows:

Page 2, line 24, delete "and reproductive"
Page 2, delete line 25

Representative Abeler moved that HF1094 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Health Care and Human Services Policy and Oversight.

Representative Abeler moved the H1094DE1 amendment with the following changes:

Page 2, line 2, delete "or retain"
Page 2, after line 34 insert "Subd.4. Exemption. Individuals whohave had 5 years experience working as a surgical technologist in a health care facility are exempt from the provisions of subdivision 2."

THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Thao moved the H1094A4 amendment. The amendment was withdrawn.

Representative Ruud moved to lay HF1094 on the table. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
