Senator Steve Murphy, Representative Bernie Lieder, Chairs of the Senate/House Transportation Finance & Policy Divisions called the meeting to order at 12:38 P.M. on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the House roll.

A quorum was present.

Judd Schetnan, Metropolitan Council, shared the Council’s bonding requests. Mark Fuhrman, Central Corridor Project Director gave an update on the Central Corridor Project. Tom Weaver, Met Council assisted in the presentation.

Minnesota Dept. of Transportation (MnDOT) Bonding Requests were discussed and presented by the following:

Khani Sahebjam, MnDOT Deputy Commissioner/Chief Engineer
Rick Kjonaas, MnDOT State Aid/Local Roads & Bridges
Robert Miller, MnDOT Facilities Management, MnDOT Buildings
Bill Gardner, MnDOT Freight, Rail and Waterways

A presentation of the Statewide Rail Plan was given by the following:

Tim Henkel, MnDOT Modal Planning & Program Management
Dan Krom, MnDOT Passenger Rail

The meeting was adjourned at 3:18 P.M.
